Unfortunately, the original version of the article “Muscle Strength and Poststroke Hemiplegia: A Systematic Review of Muscle Strength Assessment and Muscle Strength Impairment” (Kristensen OH, Stenager E, Dalgas U - Arch Phys Med Rehabil. 2017 Feb;98(2):368-380) contained an error.
Where the concept SEM has been written in full, we have unfortunately described it as “standard error of the mean.” Instead SEM is an abbreviation for “standard error of measurement”. The error appears three times throughout the paper: (1) in the abstract, (2) in the introduction and (3) in the small table “list of abbreviations”. This error does not affect any of the results or discussion in the paper.
