To compare symptoms, activities and participation between breast cancer survivors
(BCS) and controls in a prospective surveillance model (PSM) prior to cancer treatment
and 12-24 months post-operatively using the Upper Limb Disability Questionnaire (ULDQ).
We hypothesize there are no differences between groups for symptoms, activities and
participation secondary to PSM. The ULDQ is a patient reported outcome tool (PRO)
developed to assess symptoms, body structure and function, activities and participation
in BCS to prevent adverse effects of cancer treatment. We are unaware of a PRO that
assesses these domains within the breast cancer population.
